Original Schebler HX-184 carburetor – Indian Prince 1924–1925
Description
Original Schebler HX-184 carburetor, the correct model used in Indian Prince motorcycles from around 1924–1925.
The unit bears legible markings:
• "SCHEBLER – PAT APPLD FOR"
• "MADE IN USA"
• model number "HX-184" stamped on the float chamber
This is an early carburetor from the Schebler HX series, characterized by:
• round float chamber
• manual air adjustment
• classic design used in pre-war American motorcycles
Condition:
• original, unrestored
• visible signs of age and natural patina
• sold in condition as shown in photos
This type of carburetor was also used optionally in other single-cylinder motorcycles from the same era, which makes it interesting beyond restoring the Indian Prince model.
