The device in the image is a Bose Link AL8 Homewide Wireless Audio Link, a system designed to transmit audio wirelessly from a Bose Lifestyle multimedia center to other rooms in the home without cables between rooms.

Dual Transmission: Allows sending up to two independent audio sources simultaneously (for example, a movie in the main living room and radio in another room).
Range: Works through most walls and floors with an operating range of up to 24 meters (80 feet).
Free Field Technology: Uses a patented circuit to avoid interference from cordless phones or Wi‑Fi networks, ensuring uninterrupted sound with low latency.
Expansion: A single AL8 transmitter can connect with up to eight individual AR1 receivers in different rooms.
Compatibility
Bose Systems: It is compatible with Lifestyle 18, 28, 38 and 48 home entertainment systems (Series II), as well as with models V35, V25 and 235.
Destination Devices: The receiver works with Bose Link-enabled products, such as the Wave music system, the 3·2·1 systems, and the Lifestyle SA-3 stereo amplifier.
Other Equipment: By using a RCA-to-DIN adapter kit (sold separately), it can connect to some products that are not part of the Bose Link line.
