Description from the seller

Fan (1830-1850), preserved inside a refined crescent-shaped display case lined in pale satin. The object stands out for the leaf's vivid color and the exquisite workmanship of the ribs.
The leaf is decorated with a gallant scene set in a bucolic landscape. The central detail depicts figures in historical Renaissance-style costumes, with a young man in ceremonial pose before two noble ladies.
Leaf in paper or finely lithographed and hand-finished. Edges and side decorations enriched with floral motifs and scrolls in solid gold.
The mounting is made of pale horn, with ribs and guards richly pierced and decorated with circular inserts and wheat-ear motifs that create a delicate play of light.
Terminal part of the guard in mother-of-pearl. Stud rivet mounting a star-shaped mother-of-pearl disc.

In good condition

Dimensions: approximately 23 cm x 45 cm
