A Vintage HiFi collectors item set from Tannoy, model: Venus MKII V30, top-class speakers.
Made of walnut wood.
The Venus MKII V30 are offered very rarely. By the way, this is the first time Catawiki has auctioned this model.
The Venus was part of the Planet series from the mid-1980s, which also included the very successful Mercury. Other models were the Saturn and the Jupiter.
The Venus was highly regarded at the time and had a real wood veneer (walnut), a time-synchronized crossover, and a woofer of transparent plastic. I can’t really add much more, except that they have a warm, full sound with good bass response and are pleasant to listen to and suitable for various music genres.
