Depiction of the Three Kings (according to the title in Latin 'Tres Reges')

Mixed technique, the kings are in watercolour the frame is coloure paper with cutting.
( in Belgium these type of art is called 'canivet' )

The three kings that visited the newborn Jesus in Bethlehem are depicted as representants of three continents: Europe, Africa and Asia.

Made in Belgium in the second half of the 18th century.

In gilded frame of later date.

Dimensions: 17 x 10 x 1 cm.
