Pfaff Model 31 sewing machine, cast iron and wood construction, in good used condition with small signs of age and spots, not tested for operation, includes original wooden case, manual, power cord and loose parts.
Description from the seller
An Pfaff model 31 including the original wooden case, manual, power cord and loose parts. This version also features a still working lamp. Not tested, so the operation is unknown. Visually the machine appears complete.
The Pfaff 31 is a classic sewing machine known for its sturdy construction and reliability. This model was mainly produced in the first half of the 20th century (often around the 1920s and 1930s) in Germany.
It is a straight stitch machine. In contrast to the Pfaff 30, the 31 often does not have a knob to lower the feed dogs for embroidery or stopping.
Drive: Originally they were supplied as a treadle machine in a wooden cabinet or with a hand crank. Many units were later converted with an electric motor.
Build quality: The machine is made of heavy cast iron and often has chrome accents. With proper maintenance (cleaning and oiling) these machines can last almost forever.
Given its weight, the machine should preferably be collected at our shop in Leiden.
For shipping the following applies: we pack our items as well as possible and we do not take responsibility for damage caused during transport by carriers. Any damage is therefore not eligible for (full or partial) compensation by us. Loss of items during transport is likewise not eligible for compensation.
