Frame- Baroque - Plaster - Nineteenth-Century Baroque Frame

Important French decorative wooden and gilded stucco frame, of elegant Louis XIV / Régence taste, datable to the 19th century.
The frame features a molded profile with ornamental scroll motifs, raised decorations at the corners and centers, and fine decorative engravings along the sides. The whole has a balanced and refined appearance, with clear inspiration from French decorative taste between the late Baroque and the early Régence.
The gilding, with a warm and lived tone, shows a pleasant patina of time that enhances its antiquarian and decorative character. It is a piece suitable for paintings, works on paper, mirrors, or classical and eclectic interior inserts.
According to confirmation from previous owners, the frame comes from France.
