Ceramic plate by Giulio Busti (Deruta), titled "Soggetto Assente" and described as an opera isolata, in very good condition with light signs of wear and age, 28.5 cm diameter, 28.5 cm depth, 6 cm height, blue central motif on a light surface with white graphic marks and a blue irregular rim, produced in Italy in the 1980s in a contemporary minimalist style.

Minimalist ceramic plate with a contemporary design, featuring the distinctive characteristics of Giulio Busti's works, a well-known artist and ceramologist active in Deruta.
This work, described as an "isolated work" or with "absent subject", has been exhibited in competitions and ceramic art exhibitions.
The plate presents a central focal point in deep blue with white graphic marks and an irregular outer rim, also in blue tones, contrasting with the light surface decorated with subtly hinted vegetal motifs.
Giulio Busti (born in Deruta in 1945) is a central figure in Umbrian ceramics.
He studied sculpture at the Perugia Academy of Fine Arts and has participated in numerous national ceramic competitions since the 1980s.
Busti is curator of the Regional Museum of Ceramics in Deruta and teaches ceramic techniques; he has also curated and written numerous fundamental publications on the history and technique of said maiolica, from the Renaissance to the 20th century.
His works often explore the dialogue between classical forms and abstract or informal marks.
Signed by the Artist and numbered (see photo), in excellent conservation state.
