Antique French silver perfume bottle in a pear form, richly decorated with floral reliefs, dating to the first half of the 19th century, made in .925 silver, 8 cm high, 3.5 cm wide, 4 cm deep, 39 g, in good overall condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Old French silver scent bottle (perfume diffuser) in a pear-shaped form, richly decorated with floral relief motifs. The piece features elegant goldsmithing work in a historicist/neoclassical rococo taste, with a repoussé and chased body, accompanied by its stopper with a rod topped by stylized leaves, a design that is especially refined and highly decorative.
By style and the visible punch system under magnification, the most prudent attribution places the piece in France, the first half of the 19th century. The punch mark is only partially visible, so it is not possible to identify the master goldsmith with complete certainty. A test has been performed, with a positive result for silver.
Delicate object with great charm, ideal for a collection of antique silver, vanity items, or European decorative arts of the 19th century.
Measurements: 8 cm high x 4 cm long x 3.5 cm wide.
Weight: 39 g.
Condition: good overall condition, with light signs of use and age in keeping with the passage of time.
