Gilt bronze photo frame, featuring a figurative decoration in the Romantic taste of the late 19th century.

The mount consists of an pearl-edged oval cartouche, surmounted by a stylized drapery motif and flanked by a winged cherub holding a garland or a ribbon.

The base, richly decorated, depicts a stylized boat sailing on waves, enriched with floral motifs and scrollwork. The pedestal rests on four feet with rocaille decoration.

French workmanship from the late 19th century.

External dimensions: 17 cm x 26 cm
Internal dimensions: 8 cm x 10 cm (The photo appears oval but the photo opening is rectangular.)
