Description from the seller
Icon – Christ Pantocrator (The Almighty)
This is an authentic Eastern Orthodox religious icon depicting Christ Pantocrator, the ruler and judge of the world. Christ is shown in a frontal pose, his right hand raised in blessing while he holds the Gospel book in his left. His ceremonial and contemplative expression reflects spiritual authority and inner calm, as is typical of classical Byzantine iconography.
The icon is painted on a wooden panel, using tempera and oil techniques. The background is rendered in a rich red-ochre tone and shows clear signs of natural aging, including patina, color wear, and areas of restoration and color loss. These features attest to the authenticity and historical character of the icon.
Old Cyrillic inscriptions and traditional ikonographic outlines are visible, confirming its origin from the Eastern European Orthodox icon tradition.

Condition: original, with natural wear and visible restoration traces.
Dimensions
– Height: 31 cm
– Width: 26 cm
