This high-quality Chalcedony Freeform captivates with its warm, yellow-gold color palette, interwoven with fine natural inclusions in black, white and soft earth tones. The gentle color transitions and the striking structures give the stone fascinating depth, which is especially highlighted by the glossy polished surface.
Chalcedon belongs to the family of microcrystalline quartz and forms over millions of years through the deposition of silicic acid–rich solutions in cavities and cracks of the Earth's crust. The characteristic golden color of this freeform is the result of mineral trace elements such as iron oxides, which give the stone its warm radiance. Particularly high-quality specimens come from Madagascar, Namibia or Brazil, where these unique varieties are found.
This artfully cut freeform is not only an aesthetically pleasing collectible but also an impressive decorative object that carries the natural beauty of the Earth within it. Its warm, soothing color scheme makes it a harmonious element in any environment and gives rooms an edifying yet earth-connected aura.

It is a fossil wood dating back 200 million years, all parts from a log or branches have been silicified, meaning that organic components were little by little replaced by silicon in the form of jasper, chalcedony and more rarely opal. Without the organic parts, all the living matter was replaced by stone: there are growth rings, cell separations, almost like worm cracks.
Its features are those of the mineral that would have pseudo-transformed the wood: the silicon.
And that’s what we call a "petrified wood" in the common language.
