Description from the seller
Set of 4 solid oak dining chairs, produced circa 1930–1950, in an Arts & Crafts / Neo-Renaissance influenced style. The chairs feature hand-carved crest rails, vertical slat backs, and turned front legs connected by stretchers, demonstrating traditional woodworking techniques and durable joinery.
The seats are upholstered and supported by sinuous metal springs, a construction detail typical of mid-20th-century seating, providing both comfort and structural integrity. The oak shows a warm, natural grain with an attractive aged patina consistent with careful use over time.
No maker’s mark is visible, suggesting production by a regional workshop rather than a large industrial manufacturer. The design and materials point to Central or Western European origin.
Condition: good vintage condition with minor wear and surface marks consistent with age and use. Upholstery remains serviceable; wood structure is solid.
Materials: solid oak, textile upholstery, metal spring support
Period: circa 1930–1950
Origin: Central/Western Europe
Style: Arts & Crafts / traditional revival
Quantity: 4 chairs
