The subjects clearly represent:
Monumental façades
Official buildings
Classical architecture
Dome monument (probably Panthéon / Hôtel des Invalides type)
Palaces / theatres / Parisian buildings
Monumental columns (Madeleine / Assembly type)
We are very likely dealing with French architectural views, possibly Paris.
Lot of old copper-engraved printing plates – Architectural views – Late 19th century
Important set of old copper-engraved printing plates, representing architectural views of classical monuments (probably French).
The plates show fine intaglio work, with printing traces attesting to old editorial use.
Period:
Late 19th – early 20th century (circa 1880–1920)
