Architectural ornament - 1920-1930

Beautiful antique English library step, made of dark-stained solid wood (oak/beech) with elegantly turned spindles. This compact ladder was made around 1900 and follows the classic Regency style, popular in English country houses and libraries.

The three semi-circular steps are solidly constructed and beautifully finished with a warm, deep shine. Ideal as a decorative piece of furniture, plant stand, small bookshelf, or as a stylish eye-catcher in an interior with a classic or country style.

Condition: very good, minimal signs of use consistent with age.
