Fascicule of Thursday, October 9, 1930, often missing from collections since subscriptions to the 'Petit Vingtième' supplement did not yet exist in 1931. It was therefore necessary to buy or be subscribed to the 'Journal du XXème siècle' in order to receive the Thursday supplement 'Petit XXème'.
This rare fascicle features a double-page center spread with Tintin's adventures, Reporter in the Congo.
The famous scene of Tintin and the Lion is reproduced, and Milou's intervention, as he clings to the lion's tail. This scene became very well known and has often been reproduced in later illustrations of Tintin and Milou's adventures.
It is very difficult to find this copy in good quality, given the fragility of this thin 1930 newsprint paper.
The fascicle has been inserted into a handmade binding, as shown by the small punctures near the spine.
