Carlo X Chairs with Maple Inlays, Mid-19th Century
Elegant set consisting of four solid wood chairs, dating from the mid-nineteenth century, in the Carlo X style. The seats feature sinuous and refined lines, typical of the period, with a shaped open-back characterized by harmonious movement and slender proportions.
The central crossbar of the backrest is embellished with delicate maple wood inlays depicting stylized botanical motifs, creating a pleasant color contrast with the main wood. The upper part of the backrest is enriched by a central carving that adds further elegance to the whole.
The front legs are turned and slightly tapered, while the rear ones are routed and connected to the frame with a continuous line. The seats are padded and upholstered in blue fabric with small repeated decorative motifs, as visible in the photo. Solid construction and well preserved.
