Description from the seller
GERMANY. Berlin. 3 Marks. 1922.
- Value: 3 Marks.
- Year: 1922.
- Inscriptions: DEUTSCHES REICH with the value 3 MARK and the date on the obverse; REICHSVERFASSUNGSTAG · 11. AUGUST · 1919 surrounding the republican eagle on the reverse.
- Grade: MS65 (NGC).
Silver coin issued by the Weimar Republic to commemorate the German Constitution of 1919, a piece known for the variant with a circular inscription around the eagle. The obverse presents a clear and balanced typography, with the value highlighted and good definition of the characters, while the reverse shows the republican eagle with wings spread, symbol of the new German state after the fall of the Empire, surrounded by the commemorative inscription that reinforces its political and historical significance. The specimen retains an attractive original proof with a light and uniform patina, well-defined relief, and reasonably clean fields, with small contact marks consistent with the MS65 grade, making it a representative and highly regarded piece within the interwar Germany commemorative issues.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes.
