ROYD - Sorcerer Speaker set

From my private collection I offer these extremely rare British iconic bookshelf speakers which I have owned as part of my personal collection since 1998.

The Royd Sorcerer is a highly regarded, compact British standmount speaker from the mid-1990s known for its immense musicality, fast, punchy rhythm, and vivid imaging, especially in small rooms.

These speakers offer a lively, energetic, and articulate upper-midrange/treble. It has a dry, bright sound rather than deep, booming bass offering exceptional imaging (especially nearfield) and "magical" musicality.

The have a extremely robust construction with superbly well-built solid cabinets internally lined with steel plates. They are a Heavy speaker for their size (approx 31 x 20 x 19 cm weighing approximately 11kg each) 22kg for the pair.

They thrive on being placed close to a wall as they are fitted with front facing ports and not the rear, making them ideal for smaller rooms, and require a good "run-in" period.

These Sorcerer units have been fitted with the higher-end version improved bass drivers, featuring the (SEAS) H149 Woofers.

These speakers are known within the HiFi world as being described as an "underrated gem," the Sorcerers excel with classical and acoustic music. While they may look unassuming, they are highly regarded as a high-end, near-field monitor that punches above its weight, provided you do not need extreme volume levels. Impedence is 8 ohm with a sensitivity of 86dB and a peak power handling of 120 watts.. Recommended amplifier power 30 - 100 watts.

Both units are in excellent technical and cosmetic condition and will be shipped with its original box in addition to an outer box for added protection and to preserve the original box.
