Art Deco ceiling lamp with marble glass – warm atmosphere from the 30s

A beautiful original Art Deco ceiling lamp with a characterful marble-glass shade and elegant metal ceiling mount. This lamp breathes the mood of the 1920s–1930s, a period in which functionality and decorative elegance came together in iconic Art Deco design.

The glass shade is made of thick marbled glass in a warm cream-yellow tone with subtle amber veins. This so-called “marble glass” or “slag glass” was especially popular in the Art Deco period and was often used in ceiling fixtures and wall lamps. Through the marbled pattern, a soft, diffuse light distribution arises that creates a warm and atmospheric glow in the room.

When the lamp is lit, the structure of the glass comes beautifully to life. The light spreads evenly through the glass, creating a soft, warm ambiance that perfectly suits both classic and contemporary interiors.

The metal ceiling mount has an elegant, dark patinated finish that beautifully contrasts with the warm glass. The design is typical of the Art Deco period: geometric, balanced and stylish without superfluous ornamentation.

Art Deco lighting from this period was often produced in Europe and the United States and combined new materials with artisanal glass production. Marbled glass like this was made by fusing different types of glass together, producing the characteristic cloudy pattern.
