Description from the seller
At the end of the 1940s, after World War II, Germany had been heavily bombed and no new cameras came out of that country, aside from Leicas. Those were spared due to the presence of a nearby interrogation center for Allied war pilots concerning the looting of their production equipment.
Poul Royet and his SEM: Societe d’Economie Mixte conquered the 6x6 twin-lens reflex market, which was now free from Rolleiflex and Ikoflex. He, with Semflex, made a durable, rugged camera with Som Berthiot Paris. A 4-element Tessar-copy lens, with the Orec shutter from Claude Forge. You could say it was a copy of a Rolleicord.
The camera works well, except for the somewhat slow shutter in low temperatures and, of course, a few age-related quirks.
