Magnificent coffee table for the living room acquired in 2001. It is a decorative piece of high quality, inspired by the neoclassical style (late 18th – early 19th century), perfect for an elegant and characterful interior.
Features:
• Style: Neoclassical, Directoire or Empire type, with stylized 'jarret' leg.
• Materials: Wooden framework with a curved-legged base. The edge of the upper surface is metal-pitted with a deliberately aged and patina finish (imitated wear) for a very authentic 'anticato' look.
• Details: Decorative frieze of palmette motifs at the center of the top, matching the style.
• Surfaces: Two smoked glass (upper and lower) shelves in excellent condition.
• Period: Bought new in 2001.
• Dimensions: length 120 cm x width 80 cm x height 50 cm
• Condition: Very good overall. The wear marks on the metal are original and intentional to give this antique look.
• Top: The edge of the upper surface is metal-pitted with an 'antìcato' aged finish (artificially aged in workshop) to give the piece an authentic and antique character.
• Ornamentation: A delicately carved central frieze with palmette motifs separates the two levels.
• Surfaces: Equipped with two original glass shelves, in excellent condition, highlighting the structure while providing a second lower storage space.
• Condition: Very good conservation state. The wear marks on the metal are deliberate and an integral part of the artistic design.
