Superb vintage tablecloth dating from the 1960s, made of 100% cotton and fully embroidered with intricate workmanship. This piece stands out for its generous dimensions of 250 cm by 180 cm, ideal for a large table or for decorative display.
The design features an elegant floral garland running all around the cloth, leaving a clean center that highlights the embroidery. The flowers in pastel tones – powder pink, soft blue, gentle green and touches of yellow – display a very beautiful visual result with a slight patina of color as it ages. This natural phenomenon, due to time, brings a delicate and authentic patina, giving the floral motifs a subtle charm and a unique depth not found in newer pieces.
The details are remarkable: finely drawn foliage, texture of the thread, lace-like embroidery in places that add lightness to the whole. The workmanship is regular and shows traditional know-how. The cotton provides good body, elegant drape and great durability.
