Description from the seller
AUSTRIA. Vienna. 2 Schilling. 1935.
- Value: 2 Schilling.
- Year: 1935.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: BÜRGERMEISTER DR. KARL LUEGER · 1844–1910, bust facing right of Karl Lueger. Reverse: ÖSTERREICH · 2 S · 1935, double-headed eagle with central shield.
- Grade: MS64 (NGC).
2 Schilling commemorative coin dedicated to Karl Lueger, with a right-facing portrait in a realistic style and solid sculptural treatment, highlighting the volume of the hair and beard with good modeling and tonal transitions. The reverse presents the Austrian double-headed eagle in a heraldic-classic design, with feathers well defined and the central shield clearly delineated. The specimen preserves full and crisp relief, with relatively clean fields and original luster still perceptible under a light and uniform patina, showing slight contact marks in keeping with the grade, resulting in a balanced and visually attractive piece.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
