These ruby crystals are "terminated"—that is, they have an unbroken tip—and for some, "double-terminated," meaning both tips are unbroken. This is rare and of great value.
These ruby (corundum) crystals originate from Mauritania, (Tiris Zemmour region), about 100 km northeast of the town of Zouerate.
I found these rubies during research and reconnaissance in the desert with a view to offering stays for mineral and gold-detection enthusiasts. I offer them as I found them; I have made no thermal or chemical treatments, just cleaning with soapy water.
All photos were taken in natural daylight. For some of them I placed the rubies on a light source—the flashlight of my mobile phone or a lamp.
I photographed these gems as sincerely and precisely as possible using daylight. Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting can lead to variations in color, saturation, and perceived tone.
The rubies you will receive are of course the ones shown in the photos.
I offer fast, secure, discreet shipping in a rugged, tear-resistant C5 envelope (162mm x 229mm) by La Poste, France, via registered mail.
