Description from the seller

Refined column in darkened wood, dating from the 19th century.
Suggestive, beautiful in form and appearance, it features a tapered cylindrical shaft with prestigious turned and moulded elements.
The large circular base, tall and tiered on multiple levels, and the upper stepped and shaped plane define its balanced and proportioned line, typical of 19th-century decorative production.
The finish is beautifully darkened, enhancing the cleanliness of the shapes and the quality of the ancient hand craftsmanship.
Designed as a wide, exhibition pedestal (height 106.5 cm, lower capital 30 cm), the column is ideal for showcasing sculptures, busts, vases, or other works of art, granting verticality and strong stage presence to the space.
Divisible into multiple parts assembled around a threaded wooden shaft.
It presents in good condition with signs of time consistent with its age (see photos) and treated against wood-borers.
An object with a refined appearance and strong stage presence, a jewel among 19th-century decorative furnishings intended for displaying exclusive works.

Dimensions:
Height 106.5 cm.
Width and depth of the top surface 28 cm.
Width and depth of the base 30 cm.
Circumference of the shaft at its widest part 40 cm.
Circumference of the base 100 cm.

It will be carefully packed and insured for shipment.

NB. As these are antique items, cracks, stains, small missing parts, signs of age, etc. may be present. Please view the photos carefully.
