A series of 8 “sled” chairs or “sleigh” chairs. by the French manufacturer Baumann. Vintage iconic chairs whose wooden frames (beech with a black finish) are in very good condition. The seats have been fully restored: straps, foam and fabric in an off-white color.
Dimensions: Overall height 82 cm - seat: 49 x width 49 x depth.
Seat height: 43 cm.
A brief history of the chair
The chair is called “Sled” or “Sleigh” due to the distinctive shape of its base. These icons of French design are inspired by the Scandinavian style thanks to their elegant, understated, and clean lines.
Just like Thonet, Khon, Mundus, Baumann is synonymous with quality and a privileged witness to an era rich in inventiveness.
