Description from the seller
A rare opportunity for collectors and analog photography enthusiasts.
Up for auction is the legendary Yashica T5 (Kyocera) in the refined Silver finish. This unit is New Old Stock (NOS): the camera is brand new and has never been used to shoot.
Functional Condition (Mechanical & Electronic):
Status: NEW. The electronics are responsive, autofocus is precise, and film transport is smooth.
Tests performed: The camera has been successfully tested electronically and mechanically (shutter, flash, autofocus, and winding motor are fully functioning). It has not been tested with film to preserve the absolute integrity of the New Old Stock product (never loaded before).
Optics: The heart of the machine, the Carl Zeiss Tessar 35mm f/3.5 T* lens, is showroom condition: crystal-clear lenses, free of scratches, fungus, or dust.
Viewfinder: The top-view finder "Super Scope" is perfectly transparent.
Cosmetic Condition & Technical Notes:
Although the camera has never been used, time has left some storage marks on the silver body due to prolonged contact inside the original packaging:
Surface marks: There are some abrasions on the gray finish at a few corners and on the back (clearly visible in the macro photos).
Back cover: When closed, the door shows a slight gap of about 1-2mm. This is due to the original rubber "Weatherproof" seal which, although new, has lost some of its original elasticity over time. The door remains firmly latched and locked.
Complete Kit (Full Set):
This lot includes all original period materials:
Original Yashica box.
Original user manual.
Original Warranty Certificate (Towa).
Original wrist strap, still sealed in its plastic bag.
Serial Number: 044879.
Note: The kit is original from the period; however, the serial number on the camera (044879) differs from the one shown on the warranty (1396), likely due to an original clerical error by the retailer.
