Description from the seller
The press on vintage automobiles in France goes back to the mid-1960s (L'Album du Fanatique de l'Automobile, L'Automobiliste, L'Anthologie Automobile, L'Enthousiaste et L'Amateur d'Automobiles Anciennes, the latter title being the rarest).
On February 8, 1956, in Lyon, the "Association des teuf teuf lyonnais" was founded, which became on November 20, 1956 the "Les Amateurs d'Automobiles Anciennes" and was the first club for vintage cars in France (with the exception of the "Club des Teuf Teuf", created in 1935). Henri Malartre (creator of the musée de la Rochetaillée) and the historian Lucien Loreille were its main co-founders.
From 1966 (the year that saw the appearance of L'Album du Fanatique and L'Automobiliste), the 3A (the club's abbreviated name) founded a revue, which was originally intended for club members but, from the first issue in 1966, was available to all enthusiasts of old cars, by ordering it directly from the Club.
Here I present the complete set of 18 issues that were accessible to non-members. I also include 4 issues that were only accessible to members, the magazine appearing only once a year, issues 20 to 23, exceedingly rare. The magazine continued to exist, with a very erratic publication schedule (for example, No. 24 did not appear until six years after 23), its last issue being, in 2010, No. 33.
The collection of the first 18 issues (from 1966 to 1975) is today unavailable.
This magazine was on par with the "Automobiliste", the "Fanatique de l'Automobile" and the "Anthologie automobile". It added a further touch, covering a number of the 160 automobile manufacturers in the Lyon region.
