Commode - Wood, Marble, Bronze

Small French commode from the second half of the 19th century. Furniture of the Napoleonic III era, finely veneered and inlaid with geometric decorations in mahogany, maple, walnut, ebonized wood, and fruitwoods, of beautiful line and proportion. The top is in original marble, of good size and serviceable condition. The marble has undergone a small restoration in the rear right corner (see photo).

An elegant commode of great refinement, completed with original finely gilded and chased bronzes. Supported by four solid conical wooden legs with brass feet, the piece has three drawers of good capacity, ideal to place in a bedroom or living room. For antiques dealers and designers, a small chest that has recently undergone conservative restoration and polishing. Complete with a key for the three functioning locks. In excellent condition, already restored.
