Old photographic plaque on glass + Gevaert sleeve – Public ceremony with priest and flag – around 1900–1920
Description:
Ancient glass plate photograph (negative) from the early 20th century, accompanied by its Gevaert original sleeve.
The scene depicts a public ceremony around a monument, probably an inauguration or official commemoration. A clearly visible crowd is gathered, a priest wearing a stole at the center, as well as a flag bearer. A horse-drawn carriage is visible in the background, confirming a dating before the generalization of automobiles.
Presence of a religious building (church) in the background, suggesting a ceremony with both civil and religious character.
