Description from the seller
Charles Catteau – Boch Frères Keramis – Large Art Deco Vase (35 cm) – Décor D.875 – Atelier de Fantaisie – Cloisonné Effect – c. 1925–1930
A rare and impressive Art Deco vase, designed by Charles Catteau (1880–1966) for the prestigious Atelier de Fantaisie of Boch Frères Keramis. Executed in the highly sought-after Décor D.875, one of the more desirable decorations from Catteau's interwar period.
The vase is richly decorated in polychrome glazes with bold black outlines, creating the distinctive cloisonné effect so characteristic of Catteau's finer work. The stylised floral motifs in yellow, orange, purple and black contrast beautifully against the vivid green ground. This large 35 cm model belongs to the rarer executions, produced in limited numbers only.
The underside bears the expected factory marks, together with the décor code and atelier markings, fully confirming authenticity. An exceptionally strong example of Catteau's modernist ceramic art and a valuable addition for the discerning Art Deco collector.

Diameter (top): 11 cm
Diameter (base): 11,5 cm
