Bronze Tsongkhapa statue from Asia, 23 cm high, 18 cm wide and 12 cm deep, weighing 2185 g, signed and in good condition.
Description from the seller
Tsongkhapa (1357-1419) is one of the most influential figures in Tibetan Buddhism and the founder of the Gelug school, also known as the "Yellow Hat" school.
Who was Tsongkhapa? Born as Lobsang Drakpa in East Tibet, he showed extraordinary intelligence from a young age. He studied under more than 100 masters and mastered all the major Buddhist traditions of his time.
On the basis of his deep knowledge, he reformed Tibetan Buddhism.
