In the 20th century, the House collaborated with contemporary designers to renew its creations, and it is in this context that Mathias, a self-taught and eclectic artist, joined Baccarat in 1997. His first collection, "Rencontre", paved the way for "Mille Nuits" in 1999, inspired by Oriental tales and enchanted nights, where cut crystal evokes the light of stars and arabesque palaces. This clock, with its floral and radiant design, reflects Mathias's poetic approach, which favors organic shapes and refraction plays to capture light in a hypnotic way.

The clock rests on a circular base of multi-faceted cut crystal, forming a star-like or blooming flower corolla motif, with sharp edges and polished surfaces that create intense prism reflections. The base diameter is about 8 cm, with a corresponding width and a height of 5.5 cm, giving the object an elegant and compact presence, ideal for a desk or a bedside table. The dial, circular and opaline white, is framed by a chrome metal rim, displaying classic black Roman numerals (I to XII) and fine hands, with the cursive signature "Baccarat" centered beneath XII.
