Description from the seller
GENERAL
This 1988 Ferrari 328 GTS is an exceptional example of the final evolution of Ferrari's transverse V8 engine series, considered by many enthusiasts to be among the most reliable and mechanically balanced. The 328 model improved upon the 308 not only in power, thanks to its 3.2-liter engine and 270 hp, but also in ergonomics and aerodynamic design. Although the nickname “the Magnum car” is popularly associated with the Ferrari 308 GTS from the TV series, the 328 GTS is the direct successor that refined that same iconic targa roof silhouette, maintaining that 80s cultural-icon status. This unit was imported from the United States about eight years ago with only 10,000 original miles, which positions it as a releasable piece for any collector.
BODYWORK AND PAINT
The body is presented in an elegant Silver Gray color, a shade highly appreciated for its rarity and sophistication compared to the traditional red. The paint retains a strong shine and shows only minor defects typical of use that do not tarnish its overall excellent condition, as seen in the photo report. The lower parts of the vehicle are in very good condition with minimal wear. Although it shows some occasional scuff marks due to the car’s low height and the inevitable contact with the flat underbody on certain speed bumps, this is not a concern for its integrity.
MECHANICS
Given the extremely low mileage of this example, its mechanics can be considered practically brand new. The engine runs perfectly and has just undergone a thorough tune-up. Recently, specific maintenance has been carried out on the front headlights and the air conditioning system, including conversion to modern gas and compressor repair. The gearbox stands out for its smoothness, operating precisely and without clunks in any gear. The car is fully ready to be enjoyed at classic events or long-distance trips.
INTERIOR
The interior of this targa version is configured with blue leather that is practically new. Due to the vehicle’s limited use over the years, the upholstery is almost defect-free, maintaining its firmness and original color. The cabin reflects the same care as the rest of the car, offering an immaculate and authentic environment for the driver and passenger.
DOCUMENTATION
The vehicle comes with complete documentation supporting its maintenance and condition, including the detailed invoice of the recent comprehensive mechanical inspection. As can be seen in the photographs, the car already has Spanish historic license plates, which is a significant advantage. Additionally, all documentation is in order and the vehicle is available for export to any international destination if the buyer requires.
PICKUP
The car is located in Madrid, Spain. If it is won, the buyer has a 20-day free storage period to arrange the vehicle’s pickup from our facilities.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
