Description from the seller
A pair of splendid and imposing candlesticks made of wood and brass from the mid-1800s, belonging to the furnishings of the chapel in the family palace. The base features a circular ring with three lion paw feet. The first level is circular, then conical in shape, connected to a second level, and from here, for 13 cm, a series of vase-shaped rings rise, giving movement to the candlestick. From the last ring, the central part of the candlestick begins, consisting of a central column whose lower part is decorated with a line and is wider, narrowing as it rises, ending with a small circle on which a large circle rests, supporting the plate. The interior of the entire candlestick is made of wood, and on this circle, the brass cup is placed to cover the wood, with the candle holder nail. The wood is also visible at the base.
A beautifully crafted candlestick, and to give it movement in the first part, a series of circles, elegant and sober, unlike those with a smooth fluted column. We could
A game of cones to give movement to the candlestick.
Rare to find a pair of this height because most are 40 cm tall. These are 61 cm tall.
They are in good condition with some signs of age but complete with everything.
I do not love brass or bronze and shiny silver, but I prefer the original antique patina, which is why I have always kept them clean like all my objects, maintaining that old-fashioned charm.
They are part of the furnishings of the 17th-century chapel that has come into my possession.
My ancestors placed great importance on the home; for them, it was a calling card to demonstrate their significance, and they loved to renew and change objects according to the style of the times.
These items are part of an inheritance, and given the large number, I decided to sell some of them.
Due to their linear shape, they are suitable for use in a modern or antique house, as decorative objects on a piece of furniture or transformed into a pair of important lamps with the addition of lampshades or small fans, or with candles or candelabra to create atmosphere.
Illuminati with small candles.
I sell them because they have a new life, with several pairs and some of the same kind; I also have four tall ones at 40 cm and two at 50 cm.
For shipping, I use private couriers instead of postal services because it arrives faster and I can have double packaging.
Shipping costs are high due to the height and volume generated by the pair.
Shipping costs vary depending on the buyer's location: Europe Zone 1 or 2, such as the United Kingdom and Switzerland; Eastern countries like Norway, Malta, and Cyprus; and Zone three for other countries.
The customs duties will be borne by the buyer.
