Edition originale et premier tirage des 14 saisissantes lithographies originales dont 11 planches hors texte , une hors-texet en sanguine titrée « La Main de Fer », avec le mot NON dans la composition et deux vignettes de Maurice Barraud (1889-1954) toutes signés sur la planche du monogramme de l'artiste. Album publié en 1916 "Sorte de danse macabre signifiant le refus des horreurs de la « Grande Guerre ». Tirage limité à 450 exemplaires sur papier anglais, numérotés de 51 à 500 et paraphé par l'éditeur, après 5 exemplaires sur Japon, numérotés I à V, et 50 exemplaires sur Fabriano, numérotés 1 à 50 ; notre exemplaire n°271 paraphé. En feuilles sous couverture avec le dos fendu sur la longueur. Frottements, accidents et petites déchirures marginales, couverture et la planche « La Main de Fer » brunis, quelques piqûres en bordure, sinon frais et propre. Ouvrage rare. First edition and first printing of the 14 striking original lithographs including 11 plates outside the text, one outside the text in red chalk titled “La Main de Fer”, with the word NON in the composition and two vignettes by Maurice Barraud (1889-1954) all signed on the plate with the artist's monogram.
Album published in 1916 "A sort of macabre dance signifying the refusal of the horrors of the "Great War".

Limited edition of 450 copies on English paper, numbered from 51 to 500 and initialed by the publisher, after 5 copies on Japanese paper, numbered I to V, and 50 copies on Fabriano, numbered 1 to 50; our copy n°271 initialed.
In sheets under cover with the spine split lengthwise.

Rubbing, accidents and small marginal tears, cover and the “La Main de Fer” plate browned, some edge pitting, otherwise fresh and clean.
Rare work.

Maurice Barraud, born February 20, 1889 in Geneva and died November 11, 1954 in the same city, is a Swiss painter.
