Reyno de Arragon is an extremely rare copper‑engraved map by N. Tassin, published for Aragon, Navarra and parts of the Basque Country (Zaragoza, Pamplona, San Sebastián, Victoria) in the 1621–1650 period, with contemporary hand colour, measuring 17 × 22 cm in excellent condition.

Very rare map of Aragon and Navarre, with parts of the Basque Country, made by Tassin. One of the first French cartographers. North is towards the top left corner.

Tassin was appointed "royal cartographer" in Dijon before settling as an engraver in Paris, where he published several collections of small maps and plans of France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain.

Map published in 'General maps of all the provinces of France and Spain, revised and corrected by Mr T.[assin], ordinary geographer of Roy', Paris, 1633.

The map served as basis for the work of N. Sanson.

Very few examples known of this version of the map.

Very good condition. Some minor repairs in the margins.
