Book edited in the year 1972 (Showa 47) by the renowned photographer Kiyoshi Nishiyama about Japanese pagodas, which are tiered towers with multiple eaves and are very common in China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and other parts of Asia. Most pagodas were built for religious purposes, mostly Buddhist but sometimes Taoist, and they were often located in monasteries or near them.
The book has a good intaglio print impression and is numbered, as can be seen in one of the last photographs. This book is copy number 268 of 1200 and bears the signed seal of the author.
The book has its original cover and is in good condition.
