Ardbeg An Oa Ardbeg An Oa is a single malt Scotch whisky from Islay Island, which was designed to bring a new quality to the distillery's basic offering. Its name comes from Mull of Oa - the southwestern peninsula of Islay, which protects the distillery from Atlantic storms. The inspiration for this whiskey was the sheltered, gentler nature of the region. Characteristics: • Alcohol content: 46.6% • Type of barrels: Whisky is made from distillates aged in various types of barrels: after Pedro Ximénez sherry, after bourbon and in fresh oak barrels (virgin oak). They are combined in a special tut of French oak, the so-called Gathering Vat, which gives the drink an exceptionally rounded, harmonious character. • Aroma: Sweet and smoky, perceptible notes of peat, vanilla, toffee, candied lemon peel, pine needles, raisins, bananas, peaches, with hints of pepper and anise. • Taste: Pleasantly balanced, vanilla cream, honey, raisins, dates, grapefruits, notes of pepper, anise and cloves, slight bitterness of oak. Peat smoke is present, but more subtle than in other editions of Ardbeg. • Finish: Quite long, smoky, with notes of vanilla, milk chocolate, licorice and oak. An Oa was created for a softer, more accessible flavor profile, while maintaining the peatiness and sea notes characteristic of Ardbeg. It is a whiskey that is great for both beginners and experienced peat drink lovers. Ardbeg Corryvreckan Ardbeg Corryvreckan is an intense, peat single malt whiskey, whose name comes from the legendary sea vortex off the northern coast of Islay - Corryvreckan. This drink is supposed to convey the wildness and power of this place, offering an extremely complex taste experience. Characteristics: • Alcohol content: 57.1% (cask strength) • Type of barrels: Distillates are aged in bourbon barrels and in new French oak barrels. The whiskey is not filtered cold, which allows you to preserve the fullness of aromas and texture. • Aroma: Smoke, peat, tar, notes of freshly dug earth, seaweed, bacon, spicy chilli sauce, dark chocolate, black currants, cherries, vanilla and sugar. • Taste: Very intense, oaky, peat, anise, slightly citrus, with the presence of forest fruits, caramel and vanilla. Pharmacy notes and salty sea breeze are also perceptible. • Finish: Extremely long, warming, with notes of oak, citrus, pepper and dark chocolate.
