Spondylus Echinatus f. Spectrum, Symbiotic Growth Sea shell - Symbiotic growth with another Spondylus inside a host bivalve.

Spondylus Echinatus f. Spectrum, Symbiotic Growth Sea shell - Symbiotic growth with another Spondylus inside a host bivalve.

Symbiotic growth with another Spondylus inside the host bivalve.
A nice example of natural harmony and shared growth: this specimen of Spondylus Echinatus is distinguished by the presence of a smaller orange Spondylus, grown in the same confined environment.
One of the two Spondylus developed inside a white bivalve belonging to the Cardiidae family, which acted as a "biological capsule," protecting and enclosing this unusual and symbiotic growth.
Peculiarity: Coexistence with another orange Spondylus, perfectly visible when opening the valves.
A naturalistic curiosity for collectors and enthusiasts of shells and marine curiosities, a rare case of biointeraction among multiple mollusks, a fascinating phenomenon that tells of adaptation, symbiosis, and ecological opportunities.
