Description from the seller
Beautiful 'COMTOISE' clock, three bells, with zone activation. Brass/enamel with its old scene casting, completely intact.
Watch dating from around 1810, featuring a dial with quarter indicators.
Original engraved hands, sun indicators.
First quarter: strikes once every two bells. Half-hour: strikes twice on two bells. Third quarter: strikes twice on two bells. All hours: on the big bell.
Recently cleaned and revised by an expert watchmaker, who restored it to its former glory.
Can be considered in excellent condition, therefore as good as new.
Cordame replaced. Rizla cleaned with a specific product. The case is clean and repainted like a work of art, just as the mechanics are all clean and overhauled.
Authentic, including hand-molded brass hands.
Movement with perfect lever escapement. Excellent percussions. Great repetition.
In addition to its original pendulum, another in brass is provided, which fits well with the escapement (see photo).
Note: The clock is supplied WITHOUT the winding key, which is shown in the photo for demonstration purposes only, and WITHOUT weights. It is recommended to use weights of 4.2 kilograms for winding and 4.6 kilograms for the regulator.
Restoring this rare Comtoise clock required time and money. In this regard, I prefer to carry out a secure and protected shipment!
Measures 41x25 cm and 14 cm in depth.
Weighs 6.200 kg.
N.B. Shipping will be via registered mail with suitable packaging.
The costs also include the materials used for packaging.
Any additional customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient.
The photos are an integral part of the description.
Happy bidding.
