Egyptian Alabaster Footed Vessel
Old Kingdom, Ca. 2640 - 2184 BCAn Egyptian vessel finely carved from a near-translucent alabaster stone with banded inclusions in warm hues of honey and butterscotch. Sitting upon a pedestal, this rounded vessel presents a corseted shoulder and flared, flat rim surrounding a wide mouth.
Size: 130mm x 80mm; Weight: 845g
Provenance: Private collection, London, UK; Ex. F. Piket 1980s, Netherlands.
