Offered is a top specimen of the Cambrian trilobite: Ellipsocephalus hoffi.
It is a stone with several specimens on it, both positive and negative. The largest specimen is a positive (rounded) specimen and measures 3 cm.
Remnants of this trilobite species can also be seen on the back.
They died at the same time, possibly due to environmental poisoning or a mudslide that covered them.
Trilobites are extinct arthropods.
These animals lived in the sea in a saltwater habitat.
