Apple original 1984 Rainbow MacBag [for 128k, 512k or Plus] - Computer - With replacement box

>> FORWORD
Please don't make any assumptions, but READ the (full) accompanying text – and look at (all) the photos "very carefully" to avoid disappointments. Being an Apple enthusiast, I have collected RARE and VALUABLE hardware and software for my co-sentimental Apple companions. The lucky Macintosh Apple enthusiast can supplement his/her collection with this legendary collector's item: the "original 1984 Rainbow MacBag” – that gives you a glimp of Apple's history. My father came home from work one day in 1984 carrying this bag. He set it on the dining room table, unzipped it, and pulled out something that would impact my entire life from that moment! // Original Vintage Rainbow Mac "Travel Bag" for "128k, 512k or Plus" This rare sought-after item is a must-have for anyone already owning a Macintosh 128k, 512k or Plus. But it's also perfect for any Apple Macintosh enthusiast looking to show off their love for Apple products. PS/ you can also fit a SE, SE/30 or Classic. The beige color however was designed for the original Macs. Allthough the SEs and Classics had the same form factor … their dedicated MacBags were "black". FYI: next week I will auction a BLACK MACBAG for SE/Classic (stay tuned in). // Purpose The "original 1984 MacBag" was made for an early Apple to be transported, even as a carry-on on a plane. It has pockets all over it (e.g. mouse compartiment), and it's weighty constructed. The solid zippers still working in 2024 (40 years later). The transport bag was designed for the original Macintosh. Apple used to have a "Test Drive a Macintosh" program where you could walk into a store and walk out with the computer for a day - this made it easier. In this age of laptops people forget that there was a huge market for so-called "transportable" computers. The original Macintosh was specifically designed to be relatively easy to transport, at least by the standards of the day. You wouldn't take it class, but you might bring it home from work for some evening productivity. Or you'd take it home from school over the holidays. Today (2024) the "tote carry bag" is ideal for storing and protecting your vintage computer case – and ideal for SAFE transportation. // Made in the United States Upon closer inspection, you noticed the "Apple Computer patch" on the front and the old "rainbow" logo - it's flush with the design of the bag, and there's another patch on the inside with a Apple copyright and the text: Warning This bag is designed for carry-on use only Use an ATA Spec. 300, category 1 approved container for checking your computer as luggage or shipping it as cargo. FYI: The" warm beige" seems an odd color choice today, but it fitted the 128k, 512k and Plus perfecty. Be aware. The color looks cooler and brighter in some of the pictures, but it's a little warmer in real life. To desmonstrate that this is the "original colour" I added the original ad (see picture). So you can compare it! // What is auctioned? A Synthetic Canvas Bag with Nylon Webbing designed to accommodate Macintosh 128k, 512k or Plus … and keyboard, mouse, power cord and manuals. PS/ only the MacBag is auctioned (without computer or other items)! Overall Dimensions: 39-40 cm (Length), 25-26 cm (Width), 36-38 cm (Height). The "original 1984 Rainbow MacBag” is in excellent condition for its age. It only needs a good clean. Model: 825-0893-A Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this unique "vintage travel bag". // PACKAGING & SHIPPING The "original 1984 Rainbow MacBag” is packaged securely and carefully for safe shipment. Moreover, this bundle is shipped INSURED because of its precious value. Because of the precious content extra attention is paid to the CUSTOM packaging. This extra cost is included in the shipping price. "One More Thing" – Steve Jobs quote Don't miss this unique opportunity. Great opportunities don't come everyday! Let the bidding begin … for this legendary "original 1984 Rainbow MacBag”! "One More Thing" When in doubt, check my positive customer reviews ;) (… because there are some "copycats" out there who copy my style/text and pretend to be me). There is only one "VISENTO"! That's me ;)
