Ancient Roman silver ring from the 3rd–4th century AD, set with a trapezium carnelian cabochon, bezel 10.7 mm, outside diameter about 18.8 mm and inside diameter about 15.3–16.4 mm, in good wearable condition with patina and red sand encrustations.

Roman silver ring set with a beautiful semi-translucent trapezium shaped carnelian stone cabochon. Plain ring band.
The vivid carnelian cabochon with its warm orange-red colour provides a striking contrast to the muted tone of the aged silver.
Outside diameter: ± 18,8 mm
Inside diameter: ± 15,3 - 16,4 mm
Bezel: ± 10,7 mm
Condition: good and solid condition, wearable, small ring size. Appealing patina with encrustations of red sand deposits. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
