Description from the seller
What is a chisel?
A chisel is a tool used to cut and carve materials such as wood and metal. It is well known as a carpenter's tool and is used especially in woodworking, sculpture, and architectural processing.
Characteristics
Blade: Sharp metal blade, can cut wood and metal.
Uses: Woodworking (carving and furniture making), architecture (processing pillars and joints), metal processing (as a chisel), etc.
Types
Oire-ire chisel: A general chisel used in furniture making and architecture.
Tsuki-ire chisel: Suitable for fine processing, used for finishing work.
Maru-ire chisel: Round blade, suitable for processing curved surfaces.
Flat-ire chisel: Flat blade, used for smoothing and scraping surfaces.
Carving chisel: Chisel specialized for fine carving and decoration.
How to use
Scrape by hitting with hand (sometimes a wooden or metal mallet is used).
By carefully cutting the material while adjusting the angle, precise shapes are created.
Maintenance
Maintain sharpness by sharpening the blade regularly.
If the handle becomes loose, fix it firmly.
The chisel is an essential tool for traditional woodworking and construction, and precise processing is possible depending on the skill of the craftsman.
Please note that there may be wear, rust, and damage due to aging and use.
Please check the photos for details.
Condition:
Most are in good condition, but some have been used frequently and have large cracks and damage, so please look closely at the attached photos.
Also, sharpen the blade before use.
