French Art Deco chandelier from circa 1925–1935, made of nickel-plated bronze with four Verreries Des Hanots glass elements, dimensions 60 cm wide and 78 cm high.
Description from the seller
Very beautiful and original French Art Deco pendant lamp from around 1925/1935, featuring a richly decorated metal frame and four authentic Des Hanots glass elements. A stylish and impressive piece that reflects the pure elegance of the French Art Deco period.
Glass
The lamp is equipped with four original pressed glass elements from Verreries des Hanots in France.
The glass displays the characteristic deep floral relief, geometric lines, and the matte frosted finish. Both the central basin and the caps are completely original and matching.
Des Hanots' glassware is renowned for its exceptional quality: thick pressed glass with deep relief, sharp detailing, and a durable matte finish that ranks among the finest productions of the French Art Deco period.
furnishings
The fixture is made of nickel-plated bronze and richly decorated with floral ornaments, graceful arches, and elegant arms.
The metalwork bears a workshop/assembly stamp (RG + number), originating from a French metal workshop that at the time produced fittings for, among others, Des Hanots, Degué, Muller, Schneider, and other glassmakers from that period.
The chandelier can be extended by 28cm using the extra original tube, see the last photo. This increases the chandelier's length from 78cm to a total length of 106cm!
You can see the chandelier with extension tube depicted in the second photo.
The glasses are signed with Verreries Des Hanots, and the dome of Hanots is never signed.
The lamp is carefully packaged and shipped fully insured.
Due to the size and fragility of the object, it will be delivered in 2 packages. The shipping costs are therefore not fully covered but are a contribution.
