A palm thimble is a type of thimble worn on the palm of the hand, tied with strings instead of on the fingertip. It helps push needles through thick materials or in situations where more force is needed.
These thimbles have been found in Roman contexts, dating back to the early centuries, and feature a central area shaped like tears.
In very good condition with a beautiful natural patina and still usable.
Extremely rare within these dimensions.
