MC - MP 2.1 Speaker

Never sold demo loudspeaker pair from the Groningen-based MC-Systems, the absolute reference. Current new value 44,990 Euros! The pair has some minor damages but is in very good condition. Delivered without original packaging but will be very well packed during delivery or shipping. The set consists of the two speakers, 2 DSP/amplifier units, and the connecting cable between the units.

Beautiful design with unparalleled performance, the MP2.1 has it all. Form meets function in the most elegant way. Powered by its own high-quality amplifiers with DSP control for deep and limitless bass, and a traditional high-quality passive filter for its true ribbon tweeter and custom mid-range drivers. All of this is housed in a separate box and connected to the speaker with a custom pure silver cable.

True ribbon clarity and speed
The MP2.1 uses a true ribbon tweeter, known for its high speed, clarity, and extension. They ensure you get the most out of your favorite music without it becoming tiring.
The tweeter is mounted in its own enclosure, which is integrated on top of the speaker. By detaching the tweeter from the rest of the enclosure, the transfer of unwanted vibrations from the main cabinet can be reduced. This further decreases distortion.

It's so real that you can feel it.
The MP2.1 uses two custom mid-range drivers that are optimized for speed and clarity. Whether it's the strike of a snare drum or the soothing voice of your favorite singer, everything sounds lifelike and defined. These drivers are also mounted on the back of the cabinet via an aluminum block, rather than being directly screwed to the front, which helps to minimize unwanted vibrations transmitted to the cabinet.

Connected woofers to control the low tones.
Woofers have the largest moving mass in a speaker, and every time the cone changes direction, it exerts a certain force on the cabinet panel on which it is mounted. All those vibrations cause the cabinet to vibrate and create distortion. In our original patent, we largely addressed this by coupling the woofer to the much stiffer back panel. But we have found an even better way to solve this problem.
By connecting a second woofer to the first and moving it in the opposite direction, we can in principle counteract and completely eliminate the forces produced by each woofer. The additional advantage of two woofers is that they don't have to work as hard, which also reduces distortion and increases speed. This means you not only hear kick drums and other impactful bass sounds like never before, but you also feel this impact.
Finally, the woofers are only assembled together and sealed with a gasket. Because they are not directly screwed to the cabinet, vibrations are less transmitted, and distortion is reduced.
